Whisk(e)y Infusions

Fancy Something Different
Designed to be enjoyed without havng to add mixers, the INFUSED spirits are smooth & easy going. Volunteers have been amazed by the results especially with the Irish Whiskey & Spanish Orange and the Irish Whiskey & Espresso. The batch of Smokey Bacon Bourbon & Fig & Golden Rum is sitting quietly at the moment and should be ready by next week. The chef has a few ideas of his own and we'll be creating more Infusions down the road. Have you an infusion you'd like to see, let me know. TBM.

Westvleteren 12 on sale soon

Update: Delivery due early to mid February @ €50 per brick(6 beers and 4 glasses). .If you wish to pre order, here's were to do it.

Westvleteren 12 will be making it's way to Ireland soon. It won't be cheap, but we wouldn't expect it to be given that it's the hardest genuine Trappiste beer to get your hands on. A suggested price of €50 per six pack which includes 2 glasses is likely to be the going rate per Brick.They call the pack a brick as it is on special release to raise money to make repairs on the Abbey. Each Brick sold buys a Brick. Good idea. We'll buy some for those who want to pre order and limit it to maybe 10 Bricks. This is probably a once in a lifetime chance to try this Beer  I'll tell you more when I find out more. TBM

Cask Beer for January

Coming up in January, we have the return of a couple of Beers that went very well the last time we had them on. From the Fuller's brewery we have Bengal Lancer and the much sought after London Porter. Following these we will have Old Speckled Hen, Dungarvan's Black Rock Stout & Copper Coast Red. There's also on ocean of beer due in the form of draught & bottle, and White Gypsy have promised me some of "the good stuff" in early January.

On tap & Cask at the moment;
Carrig Lager, Sierra Nevada Celebration, Einbecker Export Strenght Lager, Cask Metalman Pale Ale

Carrig Lager

I've had this on rotation for a while now, but forgot to blog about it.  So here it is.
I'm reminded of my first gulp of Belfast Lager, full, rich, malty and with a fantastic "tastes like more" finish. That is to say that the hops combined with the soft semi sweet flavours really leave the palate wanting. A lot of others Craft Beer drinkers must have the same thought, as Carrig Lager has sold quite well recently. It will continue to go through the Rotation taps, but I personally look forward to enjoying the beer during our summer period.....
